Can a non-high school graduate attend Law school through a transferring?
SSJ4 Goku asked:
Can I attend University of Michigan even if I don’t have a high school diploma but I am currently attending community college so that I can transfer my credits to there.
Will they accept me or reject me?
Should I try and stay for 2 years and get an associates degree?

You will need a GED at least, however you may be able to enter the college to finish the classes needed to get your GED. You won’t really be going to college, but you will be AT the college.
My recommendation? Get your GED at Community College, it’s cheaper, no sense in paying for more expensive classes if they both get you the same thing.
My suggestion would be to go as far as you can in school… keep going to community college until you have enough credits to transfer over to a 4 year school so that you will be in your JUNIOR year of college when you enter the 4 year school…. this will save you THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS over going directly into a 4 year college after you get your high school credits at that community college….. the cost of the first 2 years at a community college level is WAY less expensive then the first 2 years of a 4 year college.. and in most cases most or ALL of the credits earned at the college level in the community college are fully transferable toward the 4 year degree. Also, to be a lawyer, you will need a 4 year degree in something like Political Science and then get accepted into law school AFTER you graduate from the 4 year college….
In order to get into law school, you need a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. In order to get a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, you need to talk to the admissions department about your situation but you probably cannot get a degree without a high school diploma or GED.
Please note that just because you are taking courses at a community college, it does not mean that you will be awarded a degree from that school. Typically, you must be matriculated at the school to earn a degree and typically, you must have a high school diploma or GED to matriculate.
