Is it possible to attend law and grad school at the same time?

beautifulstl86 asked:

Next year I am going to attend law school and I would like to get a degree in psychology also; however there are only a few schools that offer a joint degree. Is it possible to get a degree in law and psychology at the same time? What should I do?

Some schools do offer dual degrees, although I think that for psychology the only possibility there would be a J.D./Ph.D. program. Working toward a law degree and another degree at the same time without following a structured degree program and class schedule designed by the university would probably be next to impossible due to workload and course time conflicts. Sorry :S

If the schools that offer joint degrees offer quality, well respected programs in both fields, then apply to those programs. If not, then go to law school first, then later on consider your Master’s in psych.

I wouldn’t get both at the same time, unless it was part of a joint degree program. You won’t have time. Law school alone is extremely demanding, and you really need to do well there.
