I am considering attending New England School of Law, what area of Boston would be most practical to live in?

scottyj450 asked:

I would be looking for an affordable place where I can live during law school with my girlfriend. Most likely we would be looking for a one bedroom. I do not know that much about Boston, but I am sure there are areas that are better or worse for reasons of cost, safety, and convenience. Any advice is welcomed!

    Hello,

I graduated from NESL in May. I lived in Brookline, MA, on Beacon Street. It was an absolutely perfect location, safe, and convenient (on the Green line- stop is less than 2 blacks from the law school), and only about 3 blocks from the Boston border. Most of the NESL students lived in Brookline or Boston.

Be warned- the rent is ridiculous in Boston- I paid $1175 for my studio (it was pretty big ad had a separate kitchen and sleeping area, but still!).
