James M asked:
Should I attend Law school if 4th tier schools are my only option? I have been offered up to a 50% scholarship to a 4th tier school.

yes, i say go for it
Do you want to be a lawyer?
If so, then you should go. Once you pass the bar, your law school won’t hinder you from success. A prestigious law school just makes it easier to start out when you have no experience. However, ultimately, success can come to those from any law school.
In my state, one of the former Supreme Court justices came from a 4th Tier law school. I’m from a “big” state too.
I’d say wait a year, work in a law firm, and apply again. While I agree that once you pass the bar it shouldn’t matter, if your grades aren’t top 10% you won’t get a second glance from a top or middle firm.
I went to University of Maryland - 2nd tier - and graduating in the middle of the pack, without connections, I ended up with two horrible law jobs before leaving the law altogether.
If you work for a year in a law firm you’ll make some connections and see how the law really works and know if it will work for you.
